The Winter Wassail is Merryspring’s annual solstice and season winter celebration. Join us for an afternoon of indoor and outdoor family friendly activities. Campfires burn outside all day while kids and families can get creative indoors. Performances will ring in the season inside, with the Mill Street Singers, Highland Mary Morris Dancers and others providing centuries old songs and dances. Outside, guests can also learn about and sample some roasted American chestnuts or simply explore the Merryspring grounds or huddle by a communal fire. After dark, the Jatkan Kyntilla will be started, lighting up the night air. And of course, plenty of hot wassail, a non-alcoholic drink made from fresh juices and spices will be served with other light refreshments.
