Herbalist Melanie Scofield will lead a create-your-own fire cider workshop at Merryspring Nature Center on Saturday, October 14 from 10 am to 12 pm.
Fire cider is a traditional herbal remedy made to promote immune system health. In this hands-on class, Melanie Scofield will discuss the health benefits, history, and politics of fire cider. After a short presentation, guests will be able to create their own mixtures to take home.
Scofield is the founder and director of the Earthwalk School of Herbal Traditions in Rockport. She has been leading herbal apprenticeships for the past 10 years in Maine and in the Boston area.
