“Springtime in the Greenhouse and Garden” is a six-session course that will take place weekly on Fridays. John Fromer leads this hands-on class that will incorporate science and best practices in the greenhouse and spring garden. Students will learn about seed selection and starting, transplanting and preparing gardens. Experiments will be conducted by the instructor to show alternatives and illustrating other concepts.
Students will learn the science necessary to make informed decisions on their own at home while growing and keeping the plants they start in the course.
All students will start and grow three flats of vegetables and flowers, with each guest taking on watering duties to keep the plants in the greenhouse healthy. Guests must sign up for all six sessions.
