Experiments with Indigo and Shibori Techniques for Beginners with Trelawney O’Brien- April 13

Local fiber artist Trelawney O’Brien will lead an Experiments with Indigo and Shibori Techniques for Beginners workshop on Saturday, April 13 at 10:00 am. Guests must register by Friday, April 5.
Participants in this workshop will learn the resist-dye technique, Shibori, and will also experiment with indigo. All materials will be provided, though students may also bring other natural fibers to experiment with, such as cotton t-shirts and other pieces. This class is suitable for all skill levels.
Trelawney O’Brien is a Rockport-based fiber and teaching artist. She has led classes and workshops around the midcoast region, including at the Farnsworth Museum. She runs Treyummy, a company that explores traditional embroidery, upcycled fashion (Treyummy remade), activism through art, natural dyeing and symbolism.
