Aware or not, spiders live all around us. Spiders’ unique adaptations allow them to live in our homes, our gardens, underground, in trees, and near water. In this program, Clay Kirby will discuss the many species that call Maine home, and the important ecological roles they hold.

Kirby has served as the Insect Diagnostician with the Pest Management Office of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension since 1985, where he trouble-shoots a wide variety of insect-related problems for ornamental, household, fruit, and vegetable growers.
